Recently Crossbridge raised money to build a bathroom for a village in Haiti. Here is a quick recap: I traveled to Haiti with fellow Crossbridgers Eric Eggers and Katie Flanagan this summer on a trip led by Scott Bonnell. During that trip we spent some time at a new church and school in Gonaives, Haiti. As we visited with these wonderful kids, we learned that the village was going to close their school because there was no bathroom. They were unable to afford the $1500.00 that it would cost. Upon our return, Crossbridge started the “Relief for Haiti” campaign to raise funds. We placed a toilet at the back of our meeting space and asked people to throw their money in the toilet to provide relief. In one Sunday, Crossbridge gave $4500.00!! The money was sent to Scott to oversee the project and to use the additional funds to feed these awesome kids!
Scott recently visited Gonaives and shot a video of the progress. The building being built is providing a toilet, a shower and a storage room for food. In the video it is mentioned that they still need $600.00 to complete the project, but that money has already been provided by Crossbridge. The funds are being released in installments for accountability.
As of today, Crossbridge has sent over $15,000.00 to Haiti to build this bathroom and to feed children.
Check out the video…Thanks, Crossbridge!
