First, let me apologize for taking so long to get back to the blog. It appears the issue that I used to have with the Public Library has now seeped into my blogging…I am OVERDUE. I think my dues paid for a new non-fiction wing. Hmm…I wonder if there’s a plaque with my name on it?
I hope you will allow me some grace as I try to get back into the swing of things.
Life at Crossbridge has been crazy. While the summer is typically a time to catch up and prepare for the fall, this summer has been insane! Don’t get me wrong, it has been a blast..but busy.
One of the big things that was being ramped up over the summer was our new Saturday night gathering. I have really loved the vibe and feel of this service. In a lot of ways it reminds me of our first year at the theater. A brand new experience…different day…different time of day…a complete change of pace.
If you have felt like a sardine in the 11:00 AM gathering on Sunday and like a salmon swimming up stream as you try to get to the coffee (I am unclear where all of the fish references are coming from), you should try out this brand new service! Besides the all you can eat pizza buffet is awesome!
OK, so maybe there’s not an all you can eat buffet, but the Cafe is open for business as usual. Decaf, perhaps?
I have started working through a classic book, “Celebration of Discipline: The Path to Spiritual Growth,” by Richard Foster. So far, I am loving it. I’m looking forward to sharing how the journey is progressing and what I am learning, so stay tuned!
See you Saturday (or Sunday)!!
